Q&A: Face Painting Tips?

Question by ♥peace♥love♥jonas♥miley♥: Face Painting Tips?
At my temple, we are throwing a Super Bowl Party. My Dad and My Best Friend’s Dad are running it, so we have the ability to do pretty much what ever we want. We want to do a Face Painting Booth. Do you think it would be a good idea to do the team’s logos(New York Giant and New England Patriots)? Any tips? We have a face painting kit and stuff like that. A Website link would be great also. Should we charge $$$ for this? If so, how much? Thanxx in advance, Carly

    sure..
i have no website though. [[not a sports fan]]

and it depends [[for the charging]] because if there will be strangers, sure, but if it is friends only, then i wouldn’t suggest it… unless you need a way to make a quick buck, then that’s a great idea..

    good idea.
i don’t really have any tips.
but i wouldn’t charge any money unless you’re confident that they are worth paying any money.
if you do decide to charge money, then i wouldn’t charge more than a dollar or two.

Most of the time people will tell you exactly what they want painted on their face. I would not charge unless they required excessive paint (all blue on 1 side all white on the other). We had little cups of paint and charged by the cup. Under 18years was a free paint job. Mostly because little kids were there and we didn’t want to charge them and wanted the party to be fun for everyone. Have alot of the teams colors on hand. Logo’s are great. If you are going to try and make money off of the booth keep it simple…Free IS more fun!!!

Since it is a party at your temple ask for donations or tips then people will pay what they think is fair.

or maybe a cover charge for the party and face painting would be free.

have a poster or book of the designs you offer that all artist are able to do.

keep a fresh supply of water, handi wipes, paper towels, and brushes

do not forget a table, chairs and stool(for the shorter kids)
